On August 31, 2015, ShounBach sponsored a breakfast at the SERVE Family Shelter in Manassas, Virginia. ShounBach staff and their children prepared and served breakfast to current residents, and did craft projects with some of the family shelter’s younger residents. SERVE, a program of Northern Virginia Family Service, uses a holistic approach to helping vulnerable individuals and families living in western Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. Some of the program’s many services include providing an emergency shelter, access to medical and dental care, and job skills and life training and support. SERVE is also Prince William County’s largest food distribution center, serving over 800 families each month!
The breakfast was a great experience for all of our volunteers. This was ShounBach’s first time volunteering with SERVE, and we’re looking forward to doing it again in the future!
