4th Annual Un-Trim A Tree and Adopt A Child Initiative

ShounBach is excited to announce we have teamed up with Hendrick Honda in their 4 th Annual Un-Trim a Tree and Adopt a Child Initiative. Thanks to ShounBach and other community partners, almost 200 children will receive gifts this holiday through this wonderful initiative.

Working with Volunteer Prince William, Hendrick Honda adopted four elementary schools in Prince William County. The schools’ counselors identified families most in need of assistance and the students in those families picked two gifts (within a $50 budget) they would like for Christmas. Each student’s siblings are also included so that all the children in the family have something for the holiday. Frozen and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles seem to be the hottest items on the lists this year, along with needed clothing items like shoes, coats, mittens and scarves.

ShounBach is adopting 20 children and will be assisting with present delivery and other activities as needed. We are also pleased that our staff and their families have adopted an additional 28 children personally. The holidays are always a very exciting time, and we are glad that we can help make it a great Christmas for these children.

Members of the community are invited to get involved as well. There is a tree in the Hendrick Honda Woodbridge showroom with the names of children and their wish list. You can choose a tag off of the tree and then return with the unwrapped gifts.
