Northern Virginia divorce law firm ShounBach will be continuing its support of the Chipping in to End Domestic Violence Charity Golf Tournament. The event is held in order to raise financial support for a local emergency center for victims of domestic violence and other forms of violence. The law firm, which has also contributed to the fundraiser in previous years, is serving as a sponsor for the charity golf tournament.
This year’s Chipping in to End Domestic Violence tournament will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at the Laurel Hill Golf Club. The money that is raised from the tournament will be used to benefit the Artemis House. This is the only emergency shelter located in Fairfax County, Va. that is specifically for individuals who are trying to flee domestic violence, sexual violence and human trafficking. In addition to providing temporary housing at undisclosed locations, Artemis House also offers various other services such as assistance with employment, group counseling and children’s programs, according to the shelter’s website.
Thanks to past assistance from supporters of the charity golf tournament (including ShounBach), the tournament’s organizers have been successful in raising more than $212,000 for domestic violence victims through the first 12 tournaments that were held, according to the organizers. ShounBach is honored to provide support for such a worthy cause.
