The Fairfax Bar Association Paralegal Section held their Kickoff Meeting at the office of ShounBach on Thursday, October 14, 2010. Tina M. Fewell, Secretary and Janice L. Day, CP, Vice Chair, are both Paralegals of the firm.
The goals and objectives of the Section include the expansion of membership, to provide opportunities for paralegals to grow and develop professional skills and to encourage and support those members who seek credentialing for the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam (PACE), the Certified Paralegal Exam (CP), as well as the pursuit of post secondary and post graduate degrees within the profession by offering an annual scholarship opportunity.
The Fairfax Bar Association Paralegal Section holds several meetings, events and fundraisers throughout the year, with some of the most notable being the Career Advancement Presentation scheduled for November 10, 2010, the Annual Food Drive to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank going on now through November 18, 2010 and the Annual Holiday Social scheduled for December 9, 2010. To find more information on these and other great events being held by the Section, please visit us on the Bar’s website (www.fairfaxbar.org) under the Committees/Sections page, or on Facebook under FBA Paralegal Section.By Janice Day
