On Tuesday, May 3, one of our partners at the firm, Albert Bonin, had the privilege of presenting with his peers a presentation on collaborative law to the D.C. Academy of Collaborative Professionals. This included information on the basics of divorce law throughout Virginia, Maryland and D.C., as well as some of the particular procedures to each jurisdiction.

Shoun, Bach, Walinsky & Curran, P.C. is proud to support the involvement of one of our partners, Albert Bonin, as co-chair of the Development Committee of the Fairfax Law Foundation with Sharon Nelson of Sensei Enterprises.

The Fairfax Law Foundation offers many services to the community, including a conciliation program, an education committee for youths pursuing law and a pro bono law center. Learn more about these programs and how they benefit the Northern Virginia area on their website.

 

The attorneys and staff of Shoun Bach are excited to announce their participation in the Fairfax Law Foundation’s Run for Justice 5K and Law Day Weiner Roast. The Second Annual Run for Justice 5K Race will take place May 7, 2011 at Tyson’s Corner and provide funds from charitable donations to the Foundation to support their free legal services to underserved populations and educational programs. Six members of our staff will be participating in the run within “Team Ed,” which was created in memory of Edward Walinsky. To learn more about the Run for Justice, please visit its website.

Shoun Bach also made a “Congress” contribution to the 11th Annual Law Day Weiner Roast hosted by Weiner & Spivey, PLC. Donations will also be given the Foundation to benefit their services. Learn more about the Law Day Weiner Roast on its Facebook event page.

Shoun Bach is proud to announce that one of our own paralegals, Suellen Honeychuck, RP, was elected as Vice President and Director of Paralegal Certification last October at the National Federation of Paralegal Associations' (NFPA) Annual Convention and Policy Meeting.

Ms. Honeychuck is also a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (Paralegal Affiliate), Virginia Alliance of Paralegal Associations and the Fairfax Bar Association, and is a founding Director and served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Paralegal Association of Northern Virginia prior to her election to the NFPA Board.
