Giving Back During the Holidays
ShounBach is honored to have taken part in some awesome holiday events in December. It seemed like the whole month was spent preparing for or participating in holiday events to help children in need in our community.
We once again partnered with Hendrick Honda in Woodbridge and Volunteer Prince William for their “UnTrim A Tree” event. Our firm was able to adopt 20 children again this year to purchase at least the top two items on their Christmas List. Our attorneys and staff members shopped for the children the firm adopted during one huge shopping trip that was so much fun, they may decide to dress up as elves next year! Our attorneys and staff personally adopted another 22 children. Our firm is very proud that our employees are so enthusiastic and willing to participate in our yearly programs to help children. To learn more about this great Christmas event please visit Volunteer Prince William’s website at www.volunteerprincewilliam.org. We've Included just a few photos showing our stash of toys for the kids, ready for delivery to the local schools in Woodbridge, Virginia.
The firm also hosted a Christmas Craft and Snack night at the emergency family shelter Serve in Manassas. There were several different craft tables so the children could make Christmas themed crafts for their parents, there was even a wrapping station at the end for all of their goodies. We had a great time spending time with the kids and seeing all the great projects they came up with for their parents.
Finally, ShounBach sponsored the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Virginia Women Attorney Association’s (NVWAA) Holiday Reception where toys were collected to brighten the holidays for children in need through Northern Virginia Family Services. Our very own Molly Garrett is President of the Association and many of our attorneys attended at Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna.
We encourage you to visit Northern Virginia Family Services’ website at www.nvfs.org to find ways you could volunteer to assist families in need.
As we head toward the end of winter, we hope to continue to make a difference in our community.
