Al Bonin has been selected for membership in the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Bonin and Ms. Garrett are known for their work in international family law matters, especially involving issues of custody and visitation. Mr. Bonin will be attending the mid-year conference of the Academy which will be held in Puerto Rico next year. The Fairfax Bar Association held its annual meeting October 3rd through October 6th at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Susan Butler and Grant Moher were honored to be the only presenters at the conference in Family Law. Ms. Butler and Mr. Moher covered Family Law matters; mediation, arbitration and collaborative practice. Robert Shoun and Al Bonin also attended the conference. The Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers held its annual meeting in Washington D.C. on October 2, 2009. Al Bonin and his wife, Ginger, attended the gala reception held on the rooftop terrace of the newly established W Hotel, formerly The Hotel Washington. Mr. Bonin is a past President of the Colorado Chapter of this prestigious organization and a member of the Virginia Chapter.
