Albert Bonin received the "2012 President's Award" from the Fairfax Bar Association "in appreciation of [his] dedication and outstanding service" to the Fairfax Bar Association.

He also was chosen as a "2012 Virginia Super Lawyer" by the publishers of the Super Lawyers List. According to the publication, this is "an honor reserved for those lawyers who have shown excellence in practice."

He was recently appointed President-Elect of the Fairfax Law Foundation and will serve as President of the Foundation Board beginning in July 2013. The Foundation's mission is to serve the community by providing legal and other assistance to the indigent and those with special needs; to provide law related community education programs; and promote access to and improvements in the justice system.
