The past few months have been an active time at ShounBach. In early May, the firm was one of the sponsors for the inaugural Run for Justice 5k in Tysons Corner benefitting the Fairfax Law Foundation. A majority of the firm came out and either volunteered or participated in the event. The event was made even more special due the special recognition given to Ed Walinsky, our beloved colleague who recently passed away after a long and courageous bout with cancer.

A few weeks later, the firm was also a sponsor for the 13th Annual Judicial & Legislative Reception at George Mason University School of Law. The annual reception brings together local attorneys, judges, and legislators in a collegial atmosphere. We had the opportunity to meet with judges, past alumni, and law students. Having graduated from George Mason Law School in 2005, I especially enjoyed catching up with a number of my former classmates.

I participated in both events and I thought it was refreshing to interact with attorneys and judges in a more laid back atmosphere outside the confines of a courthouse. The firm will continue to remain vigorous in it’s participation in local bar events, and I personally look forward to attending many more events in the future.
