Family Law Attorney in Northern Virginia
Divani Nadaraja's practice focuses on all aspects of child and family
law issues. Ms. Nadaraja began her career as the Fairfax Domestic Violence
and Family Law Litigation attorney at Legal Services of Northern Virginia.
In that role, Ms. Nadaraja successfully represented hundreds of clients
in all aspects of family law litigation and counseling. She has had extensive
trial experience in contested child custody and visitation, divorce and
equitable distribution, child and spousal support, and protective order
matters in both Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts and Circuit Courts
around Northern Virginia.
While Ms. Nadaraja enjoys the courtroom and has gained a reputation as
a zealous advocate for her clients, she values settlement and works hard
to minimize contentious and unnecessary litigation.
Ms. Nadaraja received her Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) with triple majors in Psychology, History, and South Asian Studies from
the University of Pennsylvania, and received her Juris Doctor from the
George Washington University Law School. While at GW Law, Ms. Nadaraja
was a member of the Mock Trial Team, served as the treasurer for the South
Asian Law Students Association (SALSA), and was the student liaison for
the DC chapter of the South Asian Bar Association.
Ms. Nadaraja is currently a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fairfax
Bar Association (Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Section). She is
also a member of the South Asian Bar Association of DC. An active member
of the legal community, Ms. Nadaraja presents at CLEs, judges for mock
trial programs at various law schools, and mentors attorneys.
When Ms. Nadaraja is not practicing law, she serves as a board member and
assists in the management of The SAPAN Institute (South Asian Performing
Arts Network and Institute), a DC based non-profit she co-founded, that
is dedicated to the promotion and proliferation of South Asian performing arts.
